We're a Game Changer

WHAT IS THIS CAMPAIGN?
The ‘BeAGameChanger’ campaign was launched in February 2019 to increase awareness of mental health, tackling both the stigma and discrimination of mental illness in our region. The campaign is right on our doorstep, operating in: Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside, Northumberland, Gateshead and Sunderland.

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
Unfortunately, the North East of England has the highest levels of suicide in England – with 75% being male. The partnership between NUFC’s Newcastle United Foundation and SAFC’s Foundation of Light aims to reduce these shocking statistics by encouraging people to talk openly about mental health using the power of football and the ‘BeAGameChanger’ campaign.
