Job Vacancy: Debt and Money Adviser/Trainee
Salary: £28,133-£28,883 (depending on experience)
Hours: 37 per week
Location: Citizens Advice Newcastle Offices, City Library, and community locations
Citizens Advice Newcastle is a highly respected local charity that provides free, confidential and independent advice to people across Newcastle. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as either a Debt and Money Adviser or Trainee Debt and Money Adviser.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people experiencing financial difficulties. Whether you are an experienced adviser or looking to develop a career in debt advice, we would like to hear from you.
The successful candidate will provide advice and support to people experiencing debt and financial problems through face-to-face, telephone and email channels. The role involves carrying out assessments of clients' financial circumstances, helping clients understand their options, negotiating with creditors where appropriate, and supporting clients to improve their financial wellbeing. The role includes casework and ongoing client support.
For trainee applicants, full training, supervision and support will be provided to enable you to develop the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified debt adviser.
The post is funded by the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) and is based within our busy advice service in Newcastle city centre.
