About Volunteering

We are always looking for enthusiastic and committed new volunteers. Volunteering with us is a great way to use your skills and experience to help others.  You will learn new things every day, make new friends and be part of a great team.  It can be hard work, but volunteering can also be fantastic fun and hugely rewarding.  Some of our volunteers have been with us for just  a few weeks  -  others for over 20 years.

There are many ways to get involved and support our work.  You can train to do general advice by phone, webchat, e-mail or in person at our Walk-In Advice Centre daily sessions.  You can then progress to do more detailed advice and casework, including helping people with complicated benefit forms.  You may want to join our Trustee Board, overseeing the management of our charity.  You can help us make a real difference to people in your community.

Take our two minute New Volunteer Quiz to find out which area of volunteering you might be interested in!
