New service to help people with Mesothelioma

Our exciting New Partnership with national charity Meso UK.

Mesothelioma is an asbestos-related cancer, and the North East has the highest rate of cases in the UK. Sarah Thomas is our new welfare advisor, funded by the Meso UK charity, to work with people affected by the disease across the region.

The Covid pandemic has seen a sharp increase in mental health problems.  Most of us have felt sad and depressed at some times during the last 18 months,  but sadly there has been a sharp rise in suicides,  especially young men.  Suicides are always tragic, and cause never-ending heartbreak to the families and friends affected.
